For full disclosure, I purchased this bag on my own so it was not provided by the company as a review unit. This is my review of the Aer Travel Pack 2. Gone are the days of the giant hiking back pack stuffed to the gills (or at least, they should be gone) - unless you're you know, hiking. The bag promises top notch materials, good water resistance, and lots of functionality while also not making you stand out too much in the crowd - something a lot of experienced travelers want. Leave me alone, I've got to start somewhere. I didn't review that one, but I'm excited to have this one in the Always Wander studios. On top of that, they specialize in minimal, near bulletproof designs with everything you need, and nothing you don't. I think you can consider them another one of the stars of the 'onebag' travel scene. I mean, you don't get to make a version 2 without a 1, yeah? Sorry for the wall of text, I just wanted to share my thoughts on these bags as I’ve seen them mentioned regularly in this sub. If you pull them all to one side you have four huge zipper pulls rattling against each other. Opening the Day Sling is a two-handed operation because of its huge zippers and zipper pulls. My main criticisms: the Duffel Pack is too tall and can’t stand up on its own, and since you can’t cinch it down with straps it’s pretty much the same size even when half empty. Naturally this limits the space for other items, but it feels nice that I can stuff something large like a camera inside.

Plus it can hold one of the following: my LUMIX mirrorless camera, a paperback, lunchbox, my Urbanears Bluetooth speaker or a water bottle. After watching Chase Reeves’ review I went to London Undercover and bought the Aer Duffel Pack 2 for my gym days. I’ve been looking for a backpack with a separate shoe compartment for a while now. I do powerlifting three days a week and although l usually shower at home I still need to lug around a pair of large weightlifting shoes and a rolled up 4' belt.
